What is the File of Life and why would you or your parents need it?
The File of Life is a medical information card, which is kept in a red magnetized pocket labeled FILE OF LIFE and hangs on the refrigerator and enables medics to obtains q quick medical history when a patient is unable to offer one.
On the card there are places for the patient’s name, emergency medical contact, insurance policy, social security number, health problems, medicationients, dosages, allergies, recent surger, religion and a healt care proxy. The care eliminates the risk of a patient, in a frightened state, forgetting to mention something important.
