PFD firefighters will be offering short CPR classes atthe Crawfish Boil, as well as showing and explaining some of the protective gear they use. Watch and learn after a great plate of food!

The Pedernales Fire Department Auxiliary and PFD have a full schedule of events this spring! Free Plants, the Crawfish Boil, an Open House and Peaches again this summer! Check it out and mark your calendars. See you soon!

April 27 – Crawfish and Shrimp Boil by the Moon River Cajun Cookers-Next Generation, Fire station #1, 801 Bee Creek Rd., 1-4 p.m.

May 11 – Open House at Pedernales Fire Station 802, 21311 W. Hwy 71

TBD – June/July Peach Sale at the Briarcliff Community Center, 22801 Briarcliff Dr.

October 2 – National Night Out hosted by the Village of Briarcliff

October 19 – Firehouse Feast BBQ and Auction, Station 801 at 801 Bee Creek Rd.

October 26 – Haunted House Station at 801 Bee Creek Rd.

December 7 – Pancakes with Santa, Station 802, 21311 W. Hwy 71

Two annual fundraisers – The Crawfish Boil and the Firehouse Feast, plus a peach sale fundraiser and generous donations, have allowed the Pedernales Fire Department Auxiliary to provide awesome assistance to your local firefighters.

The PFDA recently presented a check for $64,000 to the PFD – for All-frequency Radios and Mental Health Services for PFD First Responders.

Some of the purchases made with your donations in the last few years…

Operation Backpack School Supply Drive

The Pedernales Fire Department supports Operation Backpack, a school supply drive for kids in need.

Pick up a package of pencils or markers and a notebook or two and drop it off to one of the locations through August 16.

Thank you for a Peachy Day!

The Pedernales Fire Department thanks the community for their orders of over 40 cases of peaches in our annual Peach Sale to benefit the organization.

Thank you to volunteer Lucas, below, visiting his great grandparents, Jane and Vinny Coco, who carried crates and crates of peaches to our wonderful customers.

The PFDA is also grateful to Frank Davis of The Fredericksburg Peach Company for his support in providing the always delicious Hill Country Peaches.
